Project Overview
Patients Before Paperwork (Pb4P) aims to equip frontline healthcare providers with secure digital solutions. Pb4P focuses on making improvements to existing clinical workflows through modernizing approaches to care delivery and better connecting patients and providers to the province’s digital infrastructure, ultimately enhancing care provision for patients across the health system.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute towards the Medication program integrated project plan (IPP)
- Define requirements for medication workflows including engaging with stakeholders to collect requirements and validate functionality
- Support the prioritization of medication requirements
- Contribute toward project status reporting
- Develop process documentation
- Continue to / participate in working groups related to medication relation projects / program, as required
- Support the technical design of the ePrescribing solution
Qualifications & Requirements
REQUIRED
- Must be able to work 3 days onsite per week in Toronto
- Minimum 5-7 years business analyst experience within electronic health-related projects, ideally with experience with clinical software systems
- Minimum 5-8 years experience with health system business requirements definition and implementation
- Minimum 4-5 years experience with Healthcare Information Systems and data workflows
- Minimum 4-5 years experience with medication, pharmacy workflows and/or associated business processes within hospitals, patient admissions and health records
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, strong stakeholder engagement skills, presentation skills, active listening, and stress tolerance
- Collaboration, coordinating tasks, and ensuring that everybody works together effectively, this also involves conflict resolution
- Demonstrated experience managing projects or programs in matrix organizational environments
NICE TO HAVE
- College/University undergraduate degree in Health, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline from a recognized institution or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of medication workflows
- Experience with health system business implementation and deployment projects
- Experience in liaising with customers/stakeholders where customer service was a key focus to responding to queries, issues/risk management, etc.
- Experience operating in highly political environments and across various organizational cultures
- Working knowledge of privacy policies and legislative processes – Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA), Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and associated Health Information Custodian (HIC) requirements
- Experience with provincial support models and requirements gathering
